Who we are, and what this competition stands for.

The NextGen Global Art Contest is established with the objective of identifying, supporting, and cultivating emerging artists who demonstrate originality, critical thinking, and creative vision. The competition is hosted by the North America Education Alliance (NAEA) and co-organized by the Toronto Secondary School of Art (TSSA), with the support of a broad academic and institutional network spanning China, Canada, the United States, Europe, and other regions.

Through sustained collaboration with secondary schools, higher education institutions, and professional art organizations, NextGen operates within a structured academic framework. Its evaluation standards, mentorship structure, and exhibition platforms are aligned with international art education practices, ensuring both credibility and global relevance.

The North America Education Alliance (NAEA) is an international non-profit educational organization committed to advancing youth arts education and fostering cross-cultural dialogue. Guided by the principle that education serves the public good, NAEA develops academic programs, international exchange initiatives, and interdisciplinary platforms that connect students with global educational resources. Its initiatives emphasize rigor, integrity, and equitable access to artistic development opportunities.

The competition is not positioned solely as an award platform, but as an educational extension of formal arts training. Participants benefit from structured evaluation by experienced educators and industry professionals, exposure to international academic standards, and opportunities for mentorship and portfolio development. How we recognize, evaluate, and advance exceptional young artists.

Stage I

Preliminary Round

The Preliminary Round serves as an open-entry screening stage designed to identify outstanding works across all divisions.

Evaluation & Recognition

~50% Excellence Awards

~30% Third Prize

~20% First & Second Prizes based on merit

All awarded participants receive official digital certificates.
Institutions with more than 10 participants are guaranteed at least one Second Prize (China Division).
Students receiving First or Second Prize advance to the Global Final Round.
